Malcolm 18/09/06: Recent events isn't very recent - goes back to the '05 AGM. Should we be archiving old recent events?
I think we need to make this nice and shiny quickly - the word 'Experimental' puts people off, I would say.

Yes. How can we increase our google presence? I've added the word London into the description, but we're not even on the first page if you type London canoe polo.
i'm not sure how google classifies, I think it is partly based on how many other sites link to you.
I've protected the main page to stop the hidden links being added every two days or so.
Administrators can unlock and edit. but it was getting tedious removing unwanted links and blocking the ever changing IP addresses being used.
Will see how it goes and whether the links will now turn up on another page! - Ed, 17, Dec'05
OK, have added loads of stuff over recent weeks as may not be able to spend so much time once in new office in new year! Hope it proves useful - Ed, Dec'05
Some extra changes now done:
- You now have to login to edit pages. Obviously a spammer with time on their hands can still edit but it makes it less worthwhile especially once they realise we will undo and ban them every time.
- Allowable file extensions for upload are 'png', 'jpg', 'jpeg', 'doc', 'xls', 'ppt', 'mp3', 'm4a', 'pdf', 'mov', 'avi'
- I've uploaded and linked the membership form
- I tried to get the old membership form post working but haven't sussed it yet
- I've taken a backup of the site files and exported the database
- also set up a cron job to back up the db nightly - i think!
